The "Pink" House The Greer house (or Pink House, as it is known by in the community) has been completely refurbished. As you can see in the pictures, the colors used inside and out have "livened up the place" quite a bit. The house has two bedrooms; large family room with Buck stove fireplace insert and sofa bed, dining room, bath, and kitchen with washer and dryer. It is fully furnished with linens, cookware, flatware, plates and such. All you need to do is bring the food -- coffee is provided. Jim has plans of it becoming a "Bed & Breakfast", but that will be sometime down the road. The country porch wraps around three sides of the house with rocking chairs and a wooden swing for your relaxation. Two creeks transverse the sides of the house and a white fence and hedge enclose the pink and teal "Pepto" house. Antiques and family heirlooms are found throughout the house. Pictures of many past generations of family members adorn the walls. Ceiling fans are located in each room and keep this 100 year old farmhouse remarkably cool in the summer. There is an old cellar and a smoke house (storage unit and woodshed) on the same property. A "spring house" was once close to the main quarters and will one day be rebuilt.
